The Outdoor Photographer Winter Photo Contest took place in late 2007, and while the timing and theme of this contest was winter, submissions weren’t limited to snow and ice. For some readers, winter may include a Caribbean sunset, a marsh in Florida, a canyon in the Southwest or a market in Saigon.

We invited readers to submit their coolest shots and, after sifting through more than 6,100 submissions, we finally chose one Grand Prize Winner and two First Place Winners. The People’s Choice Winner was chosen by the votes of readers from around the world.
